'Sup fam..

This thread is actually a spinoff of Serious' poetry chain/collabo...

Aside from encouraging feedback and participation, it's kind of a Guessing/Riddle game.

Okay, here's how it goes:

You write a 2 stanza (maximum) piece, in which you describe/personify something (never giving away what it is), and all of us guess what it is.

Besides being (hopefully) fun, this also kinda encourages better analysis of poetry.

I'll start. This one's easy:

Among many things, I am but a cause

Exiled to the thoughts of a retrospective dreamer:

A kaleidoscope-bound visionary who's intinirary varies

From genre to so-called preliminary culture coups

That intergrate bars of poetry

With Rhythm and blues

-The hues of which dance through the prancing pinnacle of my view.

Rest your eyes on the prize of this eclectic perspective,

And find your place among the multi-toned stars' eccentric incentives.

NOTICE:

No materialistically applied shine and shimmer required

As many of your peers, come and gone, have ignorantly implied.

Who's first?

.....

lol

I oath, its pretty easy.

It doesn't have to be something you can see or feel.

Keywords:

Genre, Culture, Bars, Poetry, Rhythm and blues....

C'mon..

strong piece,i may av guessed it was hip-hop too. and nice eyes soul!

Among many things, I am but a cause

Exiled to the thoughts of a retrospective dreamer

these 1st 2 lines got me,esp the very 1st line.

No materialistically applied shine and shimmer required

As many of your peers, come and gone, have ignorantly implied

these last 2 sealed it for me,its a "pro-hiphop" statement if i may put dat way.

Good one as always.

haha, this i good. this line gave it away "From genre to so-called preliminary culture coups", lol. But nice words u use. As i read your many pieces from way back, i realized, u know your vocab. I can bet u(not meaning anything bad), that you were one of the bright kids in your english class at high school. The english teachers pet.

I was my english teachers "enemy" if i may say. She expected me to fail bad. I was reading & writing 2pac in English Literature. But fortunatley for both of us, i got a B in both English Language & Lit. And she had an itchy throat after that, couldnt speak to me. LOL.

ANYWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY................... ya, next... whos next.
