Every single day, I slip into my mask.
The one everyone sees as “Me”.
But no one knows the real "Me".
The one kept locked away, like a monster in a closet.
Its head is bloody from beating it against my mind.
Its fingernails ragged from trying to claw its way out.
Its voice hoarse from screaming our name.
Sayin you imprisoned me as you left,
Taking with you the only key.......
