i get deep in lessons like a five percenter/

this rhyme is meant to connect past and present events like a space-time bender/

my poetic intelligence affords me membership into the society of Mensa!/

i am simply the best--so there's no relevance in an attempt to battle/

if you can't sense my eloquence then your perception of depth is shallow/

Poet Laureates break their necks trying to comprehend the perfect sentences i invent in my parables/

you're not an emcee--you're an amateur with a character defect/

the average rapper would have to practice six calendars to match my standard of excellence/

at best you're a poor man's Nelly,so there ain't shit you bastards can tell me/

i have been dope ever since i was an embryo in Mother Africa's belly/

cause when it comes to rhyming Jay stays grinding like The Clipse/
