IMHO - Some commercial still has raw street truth and cultural metaphors in it - but sadly very few and far between. Personally I agree with alot of critics that crunk/snap is mostly to blame - they cheapened hip hop. They made it about catchy rhythms and one liners to get people dancing on the floors - then labelled it a form of hip-hop.

How they gonna equate Lil Jon telling someone to "Get low, get low, to the window, to the wall" , a metaphor for , uhmmm, let me think about it - to get low and get laid -

to something like "Fuck Tha Police" which was a musical protest against racial profiling and police brutality- is beyond me!

BUT - some commercial is still worth listening to...
